1. Explore & Describe
Choose two textures and let your child explore them. Talk about what they feel like: soft, bumpy, smooth, rough, crinkly. There’s no right answer—just opportunities to notice and communicate.
2. Match & Discover
Use the Discovery Cards to match each card to its corresponding sensory mat. Encourage your child to find the matching texture, shape, or animal and explore it together.
3. Bring a Favorite Story to Life
Pair CareSquares with a favorite book to create a hands-on storytelling experience. Reading Clifford the Big Red Dog? Bring out the Core Set’s red mat and the Farm Friends dog mat. Let your child explore the textures as you read, find Clifford’s red color, or act out parts of the story.
